This professional development session supports schools in strengthening the quality of education so that all pupils progress effectively, remember more over time and are well prepared for their next stages.

Overview

This INSET focuses on how schools can ensure that:

  • The curriculum is ambitious and well-sequenced
  • Teaching enables pupils to know more and do more over time
  • Assessment is used effectively to identify gaps and inform teaching
  • All pupils, including those with SEND and disadvantaged pupils, achieve well from their starting points

The session is grounded in current inspection priorities and the realities of day-to-day classroom practice.
