Our CPD and INSET for Primary Schools
Inspirational
Sarah Lemmon , Headteacher, Redcliffe School
Primary Years are the most important
Research in cognitive science from Cambridge University by Dr. Kirstie Whittaker showing that the brain is most malleable when children are younger- proving that its hard to teach an old dog new tricks!
Child and adolescent development and the experiences during these formative years can have an profound affect on adult behaviours such as mental health, so its important to get Primary Education right. We understand Primary schools and carefully design our INSET days to meet their needs.
Teacher Recruitment Crisis in Primary Schools
There are explicit links between investing in quality CPD and Primary schools abilities to attract, motivate and retain the best teachers.
David Weston, CEO of the TDT considers it ‘shockingly short-sighted for schools to be slashing these budgets at a time when there is more pressure than ever on recruiting and keeping staff’.
Improve Teacher Retention
Primary Schools who are investing fully in high quality CPD are seeing a tangible return on both pupil outcomes and the recruitment and retention of teaching staff.
Clearly, schools sending a strong message to their teachers that they are valued and supported are not only getting the best teaching out of them, and the best learning outcomes from their pupils, but also avoiding the costly and time consuming process of replacing disenchanted teachers who leave for other schools or sectors.
Primary Schools need specialist training
If you are a Senior Leader of Head of a Primary School you want to know that your CPD provider understands this phase, and we do. All our office staff have teaching experience and many of our Associates have held Senior positions in Primary Schools.
Wonderful! I have had lovely feedback, as has the Headmaster, from members of staff so thank you once again for your patience, good humour and knowledge.
Jane Balgobin, Head of Teaching and Learning, Chesham School
We know your staff don’t want a course off the shelf, rather something more tailored to your staff’s needs. That’s our specialism.
Please browse the course details below and get in touch to find out what makes us different and we can begin to create a truly bespoke solution for your school.
